Lady Sea Dress
The image balanced anatomy and water. Creating a glimpse of something beyond ordinary life, it formed a transcendent moment, that shies away from contentment although borders on subtle excitement. Truly living in the moment these emotions can easily be found in music where rhythm plays its part in creating that harmony with the environment and participants. Solely creating in the camera by image alone where the raw footage file becomes the edited selected file without the addition of post production.
In my observations I saw the image entering the void of transcendence a summate, a unique experience and achievement. For example, a breath-taking view, if we’re careless, or too busy, we miss them. In my image the wind capturing the smoke is ultimately out of my control, the gentle waves of the sea out of my control. Although the decisions I made on choosing the location, the time of day and an understanding of the patterns of nature became somewhat under my control and I utilised those elements in the imagery. But often we have to slow down and learn to see beyond the information our five senses given to us. Ultimately opening up a line of questioning entering the zone of interrogation allowing the viewer to define what is real and not real.
